Afterimage is a side-scrolling Metroidvania developed by Aurogon Shanghai and published by Modus Games. This game takes in Engardin, a magical world filled with wonder, danger, and mystery. As an adventurer, you will set forth to discover the origins of Engardin, make friends on your travels, and battle corrupted beings preying on the weak and helpless. Raiden IV x Mikado remix is a remaster of a classic 2007 arcade shooter called Raiden IV, developed by MOSS and published by NIS America Inc. You’ll pilot a state-of-the-art military aircraft and blast through an aerial battlefield to stop evil invaders called the “Crystals” from taking over the world.
In the original Dead Space, you play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer who has been dispatched alongside a crew to repair a spaceship called the USG Ishimura. The mission goes awry immediately as Isaac’s crew discovers that the Ishimura has become infested with horrific alien lifeforms that can only be destroyed by dismembering them into pieces. Whether it’s news, reviews, or interviews – Sherif is always eager to tell you about video games. He plays shooters more than a sane person should, and occasionally has the skills to show for it.
Dune Awakening is an open-world survival MMO developed and published by Funcom, based on the influential, critically acclaimed, science-fiction novel, Dune. On the desert world of Arrakis, you will fight for survival as one of its many inhabitants. Explore a dangerous planet filled with secrets, farm for valuable spice to help fund your own faction, and battle rival gangs and raiders in epic battles to determine who will control the spice trade on Arrakis.
The first gameplay for The Lords of the Fallen has been revealed and it shows a Soulslike that looks to be another challenging RPG set in a dark fantasy world. This new game is a reboot of sorts from 2016’s Lords of the Fallen and takes place 1,000 years after the original and in a world five times larger than it. Movie has arrived and it gives us a great look at the upcoming film and is packed with homages to the games that inspired the project. Toad takes Mario through Mushroom Kingdom and we see our favorite plumber introduced to warp travel.

The biggest surprise at this year’s Summer Game Showcases had to be High on Life.
Its combat is excellent, precise, and demanding, all of which it maintains through each of its half-dozen weapon options and play styles. Its meticulously designed open world offers players almost no instruction, but succeeds by virtue of how enticing it is to explore. And every new lesson or gift feels like the perfect excuse to spend another dozen hours exploring and fighting. It’s easy to compare The Case of the Golden Idol with Return of the Obra Dinn. Each mystery game is set in a sinister alternate history dominated by occult happenings.
Animal Crossing is one of the most popular game franchises of all time, so it’s honestly kind of surprising that its DNA hasn’t made its way into other studios. Thankfully, Cult of the Lamb is here to imagine an interpretation of the formula in which your island of misfit anthropomorphs is enthralled by the darkness of Cthulhu. The developer, Massive Monster, has rustled up a delightfully jejune world of peaceful critters; it is your job to corrupt them into enthralled scions of the cause. Survival games have experimented with so many different wild permutations over the last ten years, but I appreciate the simplicity of Raft. You are, as the name implies, marooned on a small bundle of wooden planks and floating in a massive ocean pockmarked by the occasional tiny island. You scour the sea for debris that can be used as crafting material, and before long, you will have transformed your humble seastead into an indomitable water fortress.
Gearbox Publishing and developer Gunfire Games have announced a brand new looter shooter in Remnant 2. This new game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2023 and will once again be a three-person cooperative shooter with deadly worlds, unique loot, and ghastly beasts. While several of these titles are currently “to be announced,” rest assured we’re keeping several eyes on them and will be sure update this list with proper release dates as soon as they’re available. Here’s hoping for another year filled with great games and very few delays! Horizon Forbidden West will officially be getting DLC in the form of Burning Shores. This new adventure will take Aloy to Los Angeles, complete ข่าวเกม with the Hollywood sign on display. Burning Shores will be released on April 19, 2023, and it will be exclusive to PS5 players.
Simple terms like “open world” and “first-person shooter” have lost much of their original meaning. Even “Metroidvania,” a portmanteau created specifically to denote a certain set of design tenets, often comes with a cascade of asterisks, caveats, and parentheticals. The Lords of the Fallen is an upcoming dark fantasy, soulslike, action-RPG developed by HEXWORKS and published by CI Games.
We’re at the end of the year now, but there are still a handful of upcoming titles to look forward to. Judas is an upcoming first-person shooter being developed and published by Ghost Story Games, a studio led by Ken Levine, the game director of classic titles like System Shock 2, BioShock, and BioShock Infinite. The Flashback 2 is an upcoming cinematic platformer developed and published by Microids.
